DESOLATED PLACES, PART 2, in progress
A new series of oil paintings, reflecting on cities becoming more and more generic and gentrified. From Athens, Stockholm, Barcelona, Madrid and back to New York where the skyline is changing like never before. Neighborhoods are being transformed into exclusive soulless areas with glass buildings and expensive shopping. As a reaction towards these changes of the urban landscape, the artist now reaches out to find abandoned buildings and places. To capture a piece of history onto canvas. A history of a city that might get lost and forever will be gone and forgotten.
