DESOLATED PLACES, PART 2, in progress
A new series of oil paintings in progress, reflecting on cities becoming more and more generic and gentrified. Desolated places from different parts of the world, among them New York City, where the skyline is changing like never before. Neighborhoods are being transformed into exclusive soulless areas with glass buildings and expensive shopping. As a reaction I am searching for abandoned buildings and places. Trying to capture a piece of history on to canvas that we otherwise might not see and maybe soon will be gone and forgotten.
