CONTEMPLATION

“We live in a time that calls for great change in the United States—in our politics, our economic policies, and our relations with countries around the globe. This exhibition hopes for the future. We live in a time with great uncertainty, in our politics, our economic policies and relations with countries around the globe. What will the future bring? In this new series of paintings Mats Pehrson depict people in empty surroundings, alienated. His paintings of people in urban settings have been reduced in scale and erased of any reminder of city life. Contemplating in minimalistic settings, a reminder of an uncertain future.
